Tinkler applauds strike duo

Cape Town - Orlando Pirates coach Eric Tinkler feels the strike partnership between Thamsanqa Gabuza and Kermit Erasmus has the perfect balance of energy and aggression.

The pair have been vital in the Buccaneer's impressive run in the 2015 CAF Confederation Cup, with their combined five goals having spurred the Soweto giants into the final, where they will face Etoile du Sahel over two legs.

And Tinkler had nothing but praise for the pair, telling KickOff: "Gabuza has so much energy.

"You saw the way he scored and how he celebrated [in the semi-final win over Al-Ahly last weekend]. He went to the canal and we lost him for a period.

"He has energy, his energy is phenomenal. He never gives up, he has the right mentality and fighting spirit and this rubs off on the rest of the players.

"Kermit Erasmus benefits from his aggression around the central defenders. It gives Kermit the freedom to express himself and show his qualities."
