Cape Town - Eric Tinkler was thrilled with Orlando Pirates' performance against CF Mounana on Saturday, and made special mention of Sifiso Myeni and Thamsanqa Gabuza.

The Buccaneers cruised through to the play-off stages of the CAF Confederations Cup thanks to Kermit Erasmus' hat-trick, which secured a 5-2 aggregate victory after the first-leg in Gabon a fortnight ago had finished 2-2.

And while Erasmus took home the match ball on the night, Tinkler reserved special praise for two of his other squad members.

"I'm very, very happy with the performance and it was vitally important to play with a lot of intelligence tonight," said Tinkler after their Orlando Stadium walkover.

"Sifiso Myeni was phenomenal tonight, the second pass for the second goal was really fantastic.

"Thamsanqa Gabuza also, you know he hasn't been playing regularly and tonight he really gave it his all and I was mightily impressed with his performance this evening.

"But it's everybody, all round, Happy Jele must be feeling like a yo-yo because one day he's playing right-back, next day he's playing centre-back and the last two games he's fitted in there fantastically well so I'm very happy overall."
