Tinkler: Masuku not there yet

Cape Town - Orlando Pirates coach Eric Tinkler has warned Menzi Masuku not to get ahead of himself after a solid season in the Premiership.

Tinkler is worried that the 22-year-old will fade out if he's not kept on his toes, and is keen to nurture the emerging talent.

"I'm happy for him as long as he doesn't let it get to his head," Tinkler told KickOff.

"It is up to me to make him understand that and reiterate that. We are trying to do that by gradually bringing him into the team. It is important that he doesn't think he has arrived, and I must remind him of that.

"There is a lot of work to be done and it is important that he listens and remains respectful, then he can truly become a very good player because he has the potential to."
