Cape Town - Kaizer Chiefs legend, Banks Setlhodi, admits that it is time for club goalkeeper and captain, Itumeleng Khune to play abroad.

Khune has been sidelined with a Grade 3 ankle injury since late August and according to Soccer Laduma, Setlhodi believes that the rise of Brilliant Khuzwayo should push Khune to try his luck overseas.
"I believe Khune must go abroad and give these young boys a chance," said the 67-year-old.
"Khune has done everything required from him at Chiefs. So if I was coaching Chiefs, and I need to emphasise that this is my opinion, I would let Khune go to Europe to take his career to the next level.”
Setlhodi appeared over 400 times for Amakhosi between 1970 and 1985 and the retired goalkeeper is confident that he knows what he is talking about.
He reveals that benching Khuzwayo once Khune returns would be a drop in confidence for the Glamour Boys MTN8 hero.
“You can’t sit Khune on the bench just because Khuzwayo has been doing well. It might not be good for the team spirit. Goalkeeping is a specialist position and I know what I’m talking about."
When the Absa Premiership resumes Chiefs will travel to the Mother City to face Ajax Cape Town on SUnday, October 19.
Kick-off is at 15:30.
