Johannesburg - Orlando Pirates development mentor, Augusto Palacios, has likened Menzi Masuku’s ability to Jabu Pule.
According to Soccer Laduma, Palacios has overseen the development of the 21-year-old and describes him as “magical.”
“He has that rare quality of being able to beat defenders one on one.
“He reminds me of a young Jabu Pule when he first burst onto the scene. He is quick and tricky and provides that penetrative aspect that most players are unable to deliver,” admits Palacios.
Palacios reveals that he has spoken to the player about keeping his game simple and play to his strengths.
“Following his recent call-up to play with the senior team I advised him to play his way and not try and copy Thabo Qalinge and Tlou Segolela, but to add his unique trade,” added Palacious.
Pirates are up against SuperSport United when the Absa Premiership resumes on Sunday, November 23.
Kick-off is at 15:00.
