'Terror' still in the gloom

Cape Town - Former Bafana Bafana striker Thembinkosi "Terror" Fanteni is still struggling to find a new team this season.

The 29-year-old goal-poacher was released by Bidvest Wits at the end of last season after enduring a disappointing campaign.

According to a report on the Soccer-Laduma website, Fanteni only made four league starts under Antonio Lopez Habas and did not feature at all under Gavin Hunt, who allowed him to go on trial at AmaZulu and Bloemfontein Celtic, where things did not go his way.

Fanteni was subsequently given his clearance and is back in Cape Town in a bid to revive his career.

The former Ajax Cape Town player said he’s training on his own and hoping that “something will come up soon”.

No! I think the smart thing to do is start again with a younger skipper ...

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
