Tefu set for new Chiefs deal

Cape Town - Kaizer Chiefs defender Tefu Mashamaite is expected to ink a new deal with the Soweto giants next week.

According to KickOff, Mashamaite will sign a contract as his current deal is set to expire in June.

“It should definitely be sorted out soon when the club reopens for business because he has been playing and is clearly in the club’s plans,” said Masha’s agent, Jazzman Mahlakgane.

“The negotiations for the new contract have just been standard procedure and Tefu will definitely continue at Chiefs.”

Mashamaite has been in fine form for club and country, but missed out on the opportunity to don the Bafana Bafana colours at AFCON as Shakes Mashaba opted for a youthful squad.

However, Masha has been hard at work helping Amakhosi remain unbeaten at the top of the Absa Premiership standings.

Chiefs return to Premiership action on Wednesday, February 11 when they travel to the Free State to face Bloemfontein Celtic.
