Tefu rubbishes exit talk

Cape Town - Tefu Mashamaite has dismissed the suggestions he is looking for a move away from Kaizer Chiefs in the off-season.

Read: PSL Team of the 2014/15 Season

After steering AmaKhosi to the Premiership title in record-breaking style this term, Mashamaite was recognised for his contribution with four nominations at the PSL awards, which take place on Sunday.

The central defender was nominated for the Footballer of the Season, Players' Player of the Season and PSL Defender of the Season, as well as MTN Player of the Tournament.

Mashamaite, who stands to win a total cash prize of R530 000 for the nominations, is keen to put his contract matter to rest.

"During the season we decided to put the negotiations on hold in order to focus on finishing on the league," Mashamaite said on Power FM on Friday morning.

"I will be sitting down with Bobby Motaung and the management team to negotiate a new deal.

"The rumours are just speculation in the newspapers. Chiefs are the only team I have been talking to."
