According to Goal.com website, Kaizer Chiefs have been relying on their midfielders and defenders to aid their misfiring strikers for goals so far this season.

“It's not like we don't create chances, at the same we defend well,” said Mashamaite.

“It's always a question of balance; we find that we defend very well and we are solid."

Mashamaite reveals that he is more than happy to add goals as he has done this season but is solely focused on his defensive game.

“They (goals) generally go into deciding games. As much as defence goes into it, ultimately it's goals that give you three points.

“So, everyone is important on the field, and I think I've been lucky to have contributed in terms of scoring goals.”

Kaizer Chiefs play Polokwane City on Tuesday, November 25 at the Peter Mokaba Stadium in an Absa Premiership encounter.

Kick-off is at 19:30.
