Tefu: No rest for Amakhosi

Cape Town - Kaizer Chiefs captain Tefu Mashamaite insists there will be no holiday break for the Glamour Boys as they look ahead to what promises to be a challenging 2015.

Amakhosi have proved simply unbeatable in the Premiership this term and headed into the two-month interval with a 15-point lead at the top of the standings thanks to their phenomenal run of 18 top-flight matches without defeat.

However, 2015 will see the Soweto giants embark on another continental campaign as the CAF Champions League kicks off in February, and Mashamaite is hoping the team can keep their focus sharp throughout the next eight or so weeks.

"We will have our work cut out if you look at our programme for 2015," he told Soccer Laduma. "It's a tough one and there is no way one can say we will have a break.

"We have to keep on working hard during this break. Every player will be working hard during the break and make sure we are fit and ready to go in the New Year, there will be no resting at all."
