Cape Town – Mamelodi Sundowns left-back Tebogo Langerman is set to undergo a scan to determine the severity of his rib injury.

According to Soccer Laduma, the defender was substituted by Pitso Mosimane and Mzikayise Mashaba took his place after he injured his ribs.

"Yesterday they gave him time to rest and today he will be going for a scan and that's when we will see how serious his injury is," said an unnamed source.

Meanwhile, Mosimane is hoping that Langerman’s injury is not too serious.

"It's an injury in the rib and I just hope it's not a fracture. We need everyone at this point in time," said the coach.
