Players like goalkeeper Greg Etafia, defenders Larry Cohen, Rudi Isaacs and Shere Lekgothoane, and wingers Dikgang Mabalane and Felix Obada, to mention a few, have their contracts coming to an end.

A source at the club told Sport24 that most of the players are not ready to go down with the team.

He said the management will be having a meeting with most of the players to see if they wish to remain with the team, and help it return to the ABSA Premiership next season.

"It's a very tricky situation for both the players and the club management,” the source told said.

“Will the players be paid the same salaries or not? And that's why most of the players haven't yet agreed to new deals, or to renew their contracts.

“The team is expected to lose a lot of players right now.”
