Sundowns cancel Tanzania trip

Cape Town - Mamelodi Sundowns have decided to cancel their trip to Tanzania for an international friendly tournament.

Sundowns were supposed to have travel to Tanzania for the tournament which was set to include the likes of DRC side TP Mazembe, but news coming out of Chloorkop is that the proposed trip has been cancelled.

A source at the club said that the management thought it was not a good idea for the team to travel for a tournament at this time of the season.

"The team is here," the source told Sport24

“They haven't gone to Tanzania.

“Yes they were supposed to have gone for that international tournament but it won't be happening now.

“I am not aware if they will be playing friendly games locally but if it happens I will will let you know.”
