Pretoria - PSL champions Mamelodi Sundowns will send a full-strength squad to Namibia to participate in the Dr Hage Geingob Cup.
The Brazilians are set to face African Stars in Windhoek on Sunday.
The tournament will be played at the Sam Nujoma Stadium, with Black Africa and Tigers to play in the curtain raiser.
According to Sundowns' official website, the six-times PSL champions will have the majority of their players available, and they will be joined by others who have been playing elsewhere in Africa on loan like Kuda Mahachi and Hichani Himonde.
On Wednesday, the NFA’s secretary general Barry Rukoro appealed to soccer fans to support the competition.
“We are paying tribute to a great son of the soil through this competition and we are grateful to our clubs for their willingness to be part of this competition."
Sundowns team manager Peter Ndlovu said that the fans in Namibia can expect a great game as his side wants to end the season on a high note.
“All our players, except those on national duty for their various countries and others who have requested to be released early like Alje Schut and Surprise Moriri will be on show. We do not know African Stars and how they play, but we have heard a lot about them so we are ready for a major battle,” he said.
