Stars yet to decide on trial players

Cape Town - Free State Stars have not made a decision yet on players that are currently being assessed by their technical team.

Former Bloemfontein Celtic and Polokwane City players, Siyabonga Nontshinga and Sifiso Mbhele, are among those trying their luck at Ea Lla Koto.

A source at the club told Sport24 that coach Kinnah Phiri and his technical team are yet to make a decision on the players, but a number of them have impressed.

“Look, some of these players have played in the PSL before and have been hard at work here trying to impress the technical team, but no decision has been taken as yet,” the source said.

“The coaches will continue to assess them, however, I have learned that there are two that have already impressed and might be given contracts,” the source said.

Ea Lla Koto have so far singed Tanzanian striker, Mrisho Ngassa, and Lucky Mohumi from Garankuwa United while they have parted ways with Daniel Cardoso and Camaldine Abraw, who have both signed for Kaizer Chiefs.
