The veteran administrator said that he wants a competitive Ea Lla Koto in the new campaign and to do that his must keep their key players including last season’s top goal scorer, Moeketsi Sekola.

Mokoena said they only player he has allowed to leave is Daniel Cardoso as he wanted to be closer to his family in Johannesburg, but the deal with Kaizer Chiefs is yet to be confirmed.

“Cardoso has given us the best of his services and has been very respectful and we will allow him to go if the deal is right, but for now nothing is final,” Mokoena told Sport24.

“The only player who has left is striker Camaldine Abraw because his contract was expiring and turned us down for a new deal.”

The Ea Lla Koto chairman said he has personally had a discussion with the 2014/15 top goal scorer, Sekola, and has told the striker to remain at the club and work on becoming a better hitman because age is still on his side.

“There is no doubt that he has been brilliant for us, but he is still young and should focus on improving his game here at Stars,” said Mokoena.

Mokoena also revealed that the club will go to the market to reinforce their squad in order to be better than last season.
