Star trio out of Bucs' match

Cape Town - Orlando Pirates defender Thabo Matlaba will miss the Buccaneers' Absa Premiership match against Mpumalanga Black Aces at the Mbombela Stadium tonight.

Kick-off is at 19:30.

According to the KickOff website, the 26-year-old’s agent, Abbie Rasimph, confirmed the news, saying: “He has flu and the doctor has given him until tomorrow to recover.”

In addition, Daine Klate and Happy Jele have also been ruled out of the clash.

Full-back Jele and winger Klate are still recovering from their respective injuries and are not part of the 20-man squad that coach Vladimir Vermezovic took to Nelspruit.

The Happy People currently find themselves in fourth spot in the standings, 13 points adrift of log-leaders Kaizer Chiefs, albeit having played one fewer match.

Black Aces are in ninth position.
