Johannesburg - Bamuza Sono insists he has no intention of leaving Jomo Cosmos, and that he will finish his career at the club his father, Jomo, bought in 1983.
Sono Junior has been at Cosmos for more than a decade after signing as a professional for the club in 1999, and although he has not quite lived up to his father's glittering reputation in the South African game, he admits he is more than happy with life at Ezenkosi.
The midfielder had previously in his career joined Austrian outfit SC Lustenau, but due to foreign player policies he was unable to make a single appearance.
"That was a long time ago and it was upsetting, but I have moved on from that. It was a good experience and I will remember Austria fondly, but not for the football," he told the PSL's official website.
"My football life or career started here (at Cosmos) and this is where it will end. My mom took me to Balfour as a kid and I did not have much say, I just wanted to play. It was always my goal to play for Cosmos and to be a professional player and here I am for nearly 14 years."
Sono Jnr also revealed he almost took up a career in rugby after excelling as a school boy, but he admits the love of football was one he could not ignore.
"I did not want to play rugby but it was compulsory and in a way, I kind of enjoyed it. I started on the wing then moved to outside centre, inside centre and ended up at fly half. A teacher there said I had the qualities to make it in that position but I was not interested," he added.
"I like the sport but soccer was and will always be my love. I had no doubts that. I wanted to just play football."
