Sono seeks assistant coach

Cape Town - Jomo Cosmos owner and long-time coach, Jomo Sono, is in search of an experienced assistant coach following his team’s return to the Absa Premiership.

According to a source at the club, Sono is looking at options to reinforce his technical team before re-looking into his squad.

“We all know that Jomo does not trust anyone when it comes to this team, hence he doesn’t allow anyone to coach Cosmos,” the source told Sport24.

“However, this time around he wants to have an experienced coach to assist him, as he plans remain in top flight football for some time.”

Cosmos regained their top flight status in the promotional playoffs ahead of Moroka Swallows and Black Leopards.

“Bro J has learned the hard way, because it’s tough in the National First Division, and now is doing all he can to have a strong squad and technical team,” he said.
