Cape Town - Jomo Sono has no doubt in his mind Jomo Cosmos will be able to steer clear of relegation in the Absa Premiership this season.

Ezenkosi have struggled to adapt to the top flight of South African football after earning promotion from the National First Division via the play-offs.

"The break has given us time to work and correct our mistakes," Sono was quoted as saying by Soccer Laduma.

"In the play-offs, when we lost to Black Leopards, people wrote us off but I told them that we will be promoted and here we are. The same will happen in the PSL - we won't be relegated because we are here to stay.

"We just have to work on the few mistakes and then starting scoring goals then everything will be fine for us."
