Sono: We won't be a yo-yo team

Cape Town - Jomo Cosmos' technical director Jomo Sono has told the PSL website that they will compete this season and will change their label of being a yo-yo team.

Cosmos were previously in the South African National First Division (NFD) after being relegated twice from the PSL.

Sono told the official PSL website that he knew the club would be promoted back to the PSL and had to sign a few experienced players to beef up the squad.

“We will compete. It is not nice to be labelled a yo-yo team and we would like to change that.”

“We knew we would get promoted so we have already signed a few experienced players to beef up our squad.”

“But we will still look for more. I can assure you, the 15th and 16th teams going down - I have already seen them, and it's not Cosmos.”

Jomo Cosmos will take on Maritzburg United in their first Absa Premiership match of the 2015/16 season at the Harry Gwala Stadium next Monday.

Kick-off is at 17:00.
