February who was promoted to the first team during January transfer window period, played in Ajax’s 9-1 demolishing of Mainstay United in the Last-32 of the 2015 Nedbank Cup last Sunday.

Previously, the U20 international shot stopper had only featured in the MultiChoice Diski Challenge and the Young Ajax side in the ABC Motsepe League.

“To make my debut for the PSL team was a good feeling," said the shot-stopper to the club's official website.

“I was obviously very nervous for the first 20 minutes, but all that went away and overall I thought I did well. It all started the night before the match, I couldn’t sleep and I kept thinking about it.

“After a few good saves, I felt better and things went good for me,” said February.

“I just want to keep learning as much as I can and keep working hard. Hopefully the coach will see my hard work. It’s good to train with the likes of Anssi and Petim.

“It’s also good to be trained by Sander. He has so much experience and his experience is rubbing off on all of the goalkeepers in the squad. He teaches us all of the things he has learnt over the years,” concluded February.

Jody February will be in the squad to face Chippa United in their Absa Premiership clash at Cape Town Stadium on Friday, February 27 at 20:00.
