Sikhosana eyeing Bucs scalp

Cape Town - As the Nedbank Cup last-32 draws closer, former Orlando Pirates striker and Tornado FC head coach Jerry Sikhosana says that he and his charges are ready to impress.

Sikhosana believes that anything is possible in football after his team escalated from position 20 to the runners-up spot in the ABC Motsepe League.

Speaking to Football411, the local legend said: "When we heard that we've been drawn against Orlando Pirates, we got so excited and started preparing from the onset - I think we're ready for the big boys.

"It helps to play with big teams because that will encourage us and show how strong we are as the team - this is what we need, to stay at the professional level and to gain experience.

"What I have instilled to the boys is that they must not take them as role models, but they must go there and compete.

"The game won't be easy, especially to myself because it is the team I served for a long time, but it would be pleasant to knock them out in the first round. That will also show that I am doing well as the coach."
