Cape Town - Chippa United caretaker coach Roger Sikhakhane insists that David Zulu's reported move to Kaizer Chiefs has not been completed.
The striker has long been linked with the Soweto Giants, with some suggesting that the deal has been signed and sealed, with the player set to join up with the Glamour Boys in January.
However, Sikhakhane says that he does not know of such an agreement.
"With the issue of Zulu I’m not sure if he is going or not," Sikhakhane told Soccer Laduma.
"There hasn’t been any announcement made by the club. If he is going, it is okay and good luck to him. Being the head coach I must have a plan for all these things, like if there will be a situation where players will be leaving the club in January."
Chippa are currently flying high in the Premiership, heading into the November international break in second position in the standings, with only runaway leaders Kaizer Chiefs ahead of them.
With this in mind, Sikhakhane does not believe that the club's owners will jepordise their success by selling star players unnecessarily.
"I don’t think the club will sell players behind me in January," he asserted.
"They will let me know on time so that we can make arrangements. That’s important for them as well because it’s their club and they cannot kill the club like that by selling the players just for the sake of it."
Should Zulu move to seemingly greener pastures, much of the burden of goal-scoring will fall to new signing Edward Manqele.
