Shongwe wins Hunt's praise

Cape Town - Bidvest Wits coach Gavin Hunt has heaped praise on Jabulani Shongwe following their victory over the University of Pretoria.

According to KickOff, Hunt admits that the midfielder has been frustrated on the bench as there is a lot of competition for places in the starting XI.

"I am happy for Shongwe," Hunt said.

"I thought he played one of his best games against Tuks. He showed a good appetite for the game. He didn't play in the last two games and he was not happy.

"There is lot of competition in the midfield, we have Ben, we have the boy from Namibia, we have Papy, Jabu, a lot of players inthe midfield. Vilakazi and everyone has to step up.”

Wits handed AmaTuks a 1-0 defeat courtesy of Shongwe who was also awarded the Man of the Match.
