Shabba pays tribute to 'Shoes'

Cape Town - Kaizer Chiefs winger Siphiwe Tshabalala has paid tribute to fellow Soweto resident John 'Shoes' Moshoue, who passed away on Tuesday.

In a moving tribute, the player popularly known as 'Shabba' said: "You have come in our lives and surely stamped history and memories.

"We have lived to appreciate the way of life with you by our side.

"Now that you are gone our lives will not be the same. I would like to send my deepest felt condolences to the Moshoeu family for the loss of their beloved son John 'Shoes' Moshoeu.

"You have fought the war of life gallantly and now you hand over the stick to the rest of us. May your soul rest in peace Shoes."

Funeral arrangements for the former Giant Blackpool, Fenerbahce, (Turkey), Bursaspor (Turkey), Kaizer Chiefs and Alexandra United player are yet to be announced.
