Johannesburg - Siphiwe "Shabba" Tshabalala joined Kaizer Chiefs from Free State Stars almost six years ago and had not won a league medal until this year, 2013.
According to the Soccer-Laduma website, the Soweto-born midfielder told the Siya crew that winning the Absa Premiership title with Amakhosi has seen him realise a dream.
"I am a happy man right now. I couldn't be happier than this. I always wanted to win the league title with Kaizer Chiefs. I have achieved that after six years, I finally can say I am a league winner with Chiefs," said the midfielder.
The Bafana Bafana midfielder added that winning the Nedbank Cup for the first time has seen the current crop of players rewrite the history books.
"I am also part of the history for winning the Nedbank Cup for the first time. We have achieved a lot as a team but we hadn't won the Nedbank Cup and most players in the team were not there the last time the team won the league.
"It is a real dream come true," Tshabalala concluded.
