‘Shabba’, as he is affectionately known revealed on his website how good it feels to be back playing after coming off the bench in the MTN8 semi-final against Platinum Stars.

“It felt good to be back on the pitch again,” said the midfielder.

“I have been out for a while and missed competing professionally. It is my job to play and now I can get back to doing what I love.”

“As players we are always looking to avoid injuries, but they are part and parcel of the game. So I am just happy that I can play again and the injury is now behind me.”

Amakhosi go into their next Absa Premiership league encounter against Platinum Stars with a three out of three record and would like to keep that record intact.

Kaizer Chiefs face Platinum Stars on Wednesday, August 27. The match kicks off at 19:30.
