September happy to face Hunt

Cape Town - SuperSport defender Thabo September is confident his side can get one over former coach Gavin Hunt when they face his Wits outfit in the Telkom Knockout.

The two sides will lock horns in the last eight clash in two weeks time at a yet to named venue, after they were drawn against one another at the Telkom Knockout draw held at the PSL offices on Monday.

September was enthusiastic about his side's chances to progress, as he believes they have now settled into new coach Gordon Igesund's style of play.

"It's the right time (to face a team like Wits)," said the veteran defender. "It is a good draw because we now have a defence, and a team that works together.

"I think it is a great test for us because playing them away is another challenge we have to be ready for.

"There is a chance that we can move to the next stage of the competition, but on the day we have to be fully focused."

He added: "Every time anyone plays Gavin's team it brings out the best in you. But for us, Gordon's biggest change has been in our attitude.

"Our approach when we go into a game is different. Gordon has brought the belief and discipline."

Igesund replaced Cavin Johnson in the Matsatsantsa hotseat and they have registered three wins in as many games since he took charge.
