Sekola, Mashego big winners at Stars awards

Cape Town - Free State Stars marksman, Moeketsi Sekola and Katleho Mashego were the big winners at the club awards held in Johannesburg on Thursday night.

Sekola scooped the Player’s Player of the year, Top Goal Scorer and the Bonitus Medical Fund awards.

The hit man who also won the PSL Top Goal Scorer for the 2014/15 season pocketed a combined R85 000 for the three awards.

Mashego on the other hand won Ea Lla Koto the Player of the season award taking home R80 000 while Robert Sankara was the recipient of the Chairman’s Award and took R25 000.

Ea Lla Koto captain, Paulus Masehe, also managed to get an award taking home the Most Consistent Disciplined Player while goalkeeper, Daouda Diakite, was given the Most Disciplined player award.

They in the process walked away with R30 000 and R20 000 respectively.

Johnny Mathole and Reabetsoe Rakoti shared the Young Player of the Season award each pocketing R30 000.
