Segolela: De Sa knows best

Johannesburg - Tlou Segolela says he has no issues with being employed as a "super sub", stating that Orlando Pirates coach Roger de Sa knows what he's doing.

According to football411.com website, the midfielder has come off the bench to deadly effect in the Buccaneers' last two matches, helping the side to victories over Black Leopards and Bidvest Wits respectively.

"Every time I come off the bench I seem to be doing the business for the team, so I guess coach Roger (de Sa) knows how to use me effectively," he told the club's official website.

"I am happy with the way things are going for us at the moment but I think people are yet to see the best of us. The spirit in camp is high and everybody is fighting to be in the team which can only benefit the squad in the long run."

The Sea Robbers have managed to put a shaky start to the season behind them and are currently one point off PSL leaders Kaizer Chiefs.

Pirates' next match is against struggling Chippa United on Wednesday, while Saturday marks the first Soweto derby of the new Premiership campaign.

Looking ahead to those two crucial encounters, Segolela added: "The next two matches are crucial for us; we have Chippa and then the big one against Chiefs. We are desperate to collect all six points.

"Anybody who thinks we will underestimate Chippa because of the derby must think again - both these teams are worth the same number of points at the end of the day. Chippa need to be given the same respect as we would facing Chiefs."
