Cape Town - Mamelodi Sundowns have confirmed captain Alje Schut is set to
make his return to the squad when they take on Kaizer Chiefs at the FNB
Stadium on Saturday.
The Dutchman last featured for the Brazilians towards the end of August when he suffered an ankle injury against Orlando Pirates, while a freak accident at home saw his time on the sidelines extended.
However, the centre-back has since returned to full fitness and is set to skipper Sundowns when they face runaway Premiership leaders Amakhosi in Soweto this weekend.
"It was an accident that was not related to soccer," said Downs spokesman Kabelo Mosito.
"He is back at training and ready to play. Everything will depend on the technical team if they field him on Saturday against Chiefs."
