Rooi to stay at Arrows

Cape Town - Mpumalanga Black Aces defender Thabang Rooi, who was on loan at Golden Arrows as they campaigned in the National First Division and helped them gain promotion to the Absa Premiership, could remain at the club in the new season.

His contract at Aces ends at the end of this month and negotiations between him and Arrows have already started.

A Sport24 source close to the player said that both the team and the player are ready for a new deal.

"It's clear that Thabang won't be going back to Aces and Golden Arrows want to keep him," the source said.

“It's just a matter of time before they agree terms for him to remain at Arrows.

“He did very well in the NFD and they want him to be part of the team in the premier league.”
