According to KickOff, the 37-year-old is yet to open contract talks with the Sowetan club and will do so within the course of the PSL season.

"We haven't finalised his deal as yet, either with the player or Moroka Swallows," said the player’s agent, Mike Makaab.

"We will wait until the season transpires and we will sit down with the player first to see what he wants to do in terms of going forward.”

As Nomvete is in the last stages of his career he might opt to hang up his boots settle for retirement.

Meanwhile the former Kaizer Chiefs forward will prepare with the rest of his Swallows teammates as they make their way to Pretoria to face Mamelodi Sundowns.

The encounter is set for Tuesday, February 10 at the Lucas Moripe Stadium.

Kick-off is at 19:30.
