Ramakgasha suffers head injury

Cape Town - Jomo Cosmos goalkeeper, Clement Ramakgasha, suffered what appears to be a serious head injury in a warm up game against Bidvest Wits.

Sport24 spoke to first team goalkeeper Sherwin Naicker who revealed that Ramakgasha was in stable condition despite the high impact collision.

“He got injured in a friendly between us and Wits,” Naicker said.

“There was a 50/50 ball between him and (Henrico) Botes but he hesitated and then went for it at the last second.

“I think Botes knee cracked his skull.

“From what I hear he is okay but he won’t be playing for some time now.”

Naicker hopes that the under-19 ‘keeper will soon be able to play again after seeing a former teammate recover from a similar injury.

“I had a teammate at Milano who had the same injury and he is back playing now.”

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
