Ramagalela, Sundowns part ways

Pretoria - Following his disappointing 2014/15 ABSA Premiership season, Mamelodi Sundowns pacey striker Rodney Ramagalela confirmed that he will not be part of the Brazilians squad to compete in the upcoming campaign set to commence next week.

The 26-year-old forward admitted that he is leaving the six-times PSL champions due to lack of regular game time as he seeks to play frequently.

“Yes there are plenty of speculations about my future and I am aware of that," said Ramagalela

“But the truth is that I will not be playing for Mamelodi Sundowns next season.

“I’m leaving Sundowns due to lack of regular game time and as you have seen that out of all games I played last season, most of them I was coming on as a substitute."

Despite an interest from Free State Stars, the former Black Leopards goal poacher is yet to reveal his future employers identity but he has confirmed that several PSL clubs are chasing his signature.

“So my main ambition is to play regularly for any team that I play for at the time.

“I can’t confirm at this stage where I’m heading to but there have been plenty of offers from various PSL teams for my services and that’s all I can say for now.”

Ramagalela played a significant role in guiding the Brazilians to their 2013/14 ABSA Premiership crown and last season’s Nedbank cup triumph since joining them from Lidoda Duvha in July 2013.
