Qalinge missed Tuesday night’s 2-1 defeat to Maritzburg United and will again be absent for Saturday’s showdown in Soweto, due to a family issue.
"Qalinge will not be part of the squad on Saturday he has not been with the club since Tuesday this week as he has been excused to attend a family bereavement," said Orlando Pirates caretaker coach Eric Tinkler, who took over from Vladimir Vermezovic after the midweek defeat.
Former Black Aces winger Qalinge has made eight league appearances for Pirates this season, scoring one goal, although he has only started in two games.
