Cape Town - Punch Masenamela has joined Platinum Stars on a six-month loan deal, the Mamelodi Sundowns defender's agent confirmed.

The 28-year-old has been taken on board at Dikwena as a replacement for Luvolwethu Mpeta, who initially agreed a pre-contract with SuperSport United only to have the deal pushed through with immediate effect.

Masenamela could also make his loan stay in Rustenburg permanent at the end of the season, with Dinaledi reportedly already working on a full-time deal, given the fact the left-back's current contract with the Brazilians expires in July.

"Platinum Stars are talking over his package as it is," the player's agent, Jazzman Mahlakgane, is quoted as saying by KickOff.
