Cape Town - Bidvest Wits will be hoping to keep the pressure on pace-setters Kaizer Chiefs by taking all three points from their clash with Bloemfontein Celtic on Friday night.
The match takes place at the Bidvest Stadium in Johannesburg.
The Students head into the game in second position in the league table, with their confidence boosted by Tuesday night’s 1-0 victory over fellow potential title challengers Mamelodi Sundowns, thanks to a brilliant strike by Bafana Bafana midfielder Sibusiso Vilakazi.
Indeed, Gavin Hunt’s men have been in superb form since the restart of the league, winning all three of the league matches in 2015, and collecting 13 points from their last five games.
Celtic, however, have also been in good form since the turn of the year, having taken seven points from three games. They netted five goals in their last two league outings under coach Clinton Larsen, which has seen them climbing to seventh position in the standings.
In the corresponding first-round game, a late goal from Ben Motshwari secured all three points for the Clever Boys, who have won 14 and lost only four of their previous 25 home league matches against the team from the Free State.
Neither side have any fresh injury concerns with both coaches having the luxury of a full-strength squad to choose from.
For Wits, Dillon Sheppard, Maliele Pule, Phumlani Ntshangase and captain Sibusiso Vilakazi are all one booking away from a suspension.
For the visiting side, Jackie Motshegwa and Lerato Lamola are both on three yellow cards and will miss the next game if they are booked again.
Kick-off is at 20:00.
