Cape Town - Mamelodi Sundowns will have a point to prove against Kaizer Chiefs when the sides do battle at the Lucas Masterpieces Moripe Stadium.
Chiefs were crowned Premiership champions over Sundowns when they beat Polokwane City 4-1 last week with three games of the season left to play.
The Brazilians will be keen to get a win over Amakhosi to solidify their second-place position and secure a spot in next season's CAF Champions League.
There is also the small matter of the Q4 performance log, which Chiefs currently lead by six points and Sundowns will want to do all they can to stop their opponents from claiming that prize as well.
Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane admitted it has been tough to motivate his players following their recent poor form that saw them crash out of the CAF Champions League and hand the Premiership title to Chiefs.
However, if there is one game his players should be motivated for it should be the game against Amakhosi where they can lay down their intentions for next season and prove they are not willing to accept second best.
Kaizer Chiefs continue to make do without experienced center-back Morgan Gould, whose long-term Achilles injury continues to keep him sidelined, while Siphiwe Tshabalala will pick up a suspension if he receives a yellow card in the game.
Sundowns captain Alje Schut also misses out after picking up a thigh muscle injury in the weekend's Nedbank Cup semi-final win over Vasco de Gama.
Kick-off is at 19:30.
