Preview: Downs v Black Aces

Cape Town - Mamelodi Sundowns will be looking to continue their good form when they host a similarly in-form Mpumalanga Black Aces side at the Lucas Moripe Stadium on Wednesday.

The two sides are currently level on 15 points in fourth and fifth, with Sundowns only ahead due to a superior goal difference.

The Brazilians are unbeaten in their last seven outings in all competitions, but have drawn both their last two PSL fixtures.

Aces have suffered just one defeat in their last seven, which came in the Telkom Knockout, but are currently on a three-match winning streak in the league.

On the team news front, Rheece Evans (groin) and Flavio Bento (knee) are both expected to miss out for Sundowns once more as they continue their respective recoveries.

Skipper Alje Schut, though, is in line to make his return to the side, with the postponement of the weekend's fixtures having given him extra time to recover.

Khama Billiat and Teko Modise were due to return in the fixture against Free State Stars and should be in the side to face Black Aces.

For AmaZayoni, Edwin Gyimah is available for selection once more having missed the last two outings for family reasons.

He could be joined by Aubrey Ngoma, who is fit again after being sidelined for the last two months with a knee injury.

Bafana Nhlapo (broken arm) and Clifford Ngobeni (Achilles) are both long-term concerns and will definitely miss out.
