Cape Town - Edward Manqele is in line to make his full Chippa United debut when they host little-known Natal United in the Nedbank Cup last 32 at the Wolfson Stadium.

The striker joined from Mamelodi Sundowns late last year and has been slowly working his way towards full fitness.

He played 26 minutes off the bench in the 1-1 Premiership draw against Maritzburg United last week, impressing his coach Ernst Middendorp.

The Chilli Boys will also welcome back defender Christopher Komane after he missed the last two games through suspension.

Chippa's opponents from Msinga, which is between Dundee and Greytown in northern KwaZulu-Natal, play in South Africa's third tier.

They currently top the ABC Motsepe League in their region and narrowly missed out on qualification for both the National First Division and the Ke Yona competition last year.

Their coach, Smart Ndlovu, is relishing the opportunity to play on the big stage, saying they held all the aces ahead of the trip to Nelson Mandela Bay.

“Being a smaller team gives us the advantage because we are not the ones under pressure,” he said.

“So we will be going out there to enjoy the game and we'll try to enjoy it by winning.

“I expect the game to be more difficult for Chippa because playing against us; perhaps they will become frustrated if they don’t score an early goal.

“I think that's what we'll be aiming for, which is not to let them get ahead of us early on.”

Kick-off is at 15:00 on Saturday, February 21.
