Cape Town - Bloemfontein
Celtic will welcome SuperSport United to the Free State Stadium on Wednesday as
the battle for the Premiership's top eight heats up.
Phunya Sele Sele have raised more than a few eyebrows at the
weekend after seeing off third-placed Bidvest Wits 1-0 as Clinton Larsen's men
climbed to sixth in the standings.
The Free State outfit will now host a SuperSport side, who
have proved largely inconsistent this season having followed up their 2-0 win
over leaders Kaizer Chiefs with back-to-back defeats, most recently against Ajax
Cape Town on Saturday.
That form has left Gordon Igesund's side ninth in the table,
although they sit just two points outside of the top eight with nine games
remaining this term.
In team news, neither side have any suspension concerns to
deal with, although Celtic have no fewer than three players walking the
yellow-card tightrope, namely Kenoshi Motshegwa, Lerato Lamola and Mogogi
The situation is slightly trickier for Matsatsantsa, who
have Daine Klate, Lebogang Manyama, Tamsanqa Teyise, Thabo Moloi and Thuso
Phala all on three bookings apiece, meaning they are one yellow away from
picking up potential bans.
