Polokwane want AmaTuks win

Cape Town - Polokwane City will look to continue their fine form in the Absa Premiership when they host University of Pretoria at Peter Mokaba Stadium.

Polokwane extended their unbeaten run in the league to seven matches with a 1-1 draw away to SuperSport United on Saturday.

The Limpopo side has claimed eight points from seven home matches this season.

Their next three league opponents are Maritzburg United (home), Ajax Cape Town (away) and Moroka Swallows (home).

Rise and Shine are placed ninth on the PSL log with 21 points from 15 matches.

University of Pretoria played to a second successive draw when they were held 1-1 at home by Mamelodi Sundowns on Saturday.

The Tshwane side has claimed 10 points from eight away matches this season.

Their next three league opponents are Bidvest Wits, Chippa United (both home) and Free State Stars (away).

AmaTuks are placed 13th on the log with 15 points from as many matches.

In head-to-head stats, Polokwane and Tuks have met in three previous top flight league matches.

Rise and Shine boast a 100 percent record, with three wins from as many games against the Pretoria side.

Polokwane’s only previous home match against Tuks saw them claim a 3-0 win in the first half of last season.

When the teams met in the first round of the current season, the Limpopo side claimed a 1-0 away win thanks to a goal from Tlolane.

Kick-off is at 15:00 on Tuesday, December 16.
