Pitso wants winning culture

Cape Town - Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane intends to instill a culture of winning silverware every season at the Chloorkop-based outfit.

Since taking charge of the Brazilians, Mosimane has delivered a trophy in each of the two full seasons he's been in charge.

In his first season at the helm Mosimane steered Sundowns to the Premiership, which was followed by the Nedbank Cup title last season.

In the current campaign, the former Bafana Bafana tactician expects much of the same after beating the Nedbank Ke Yona team at the weekend.

"For us it is about winning trophies at Sundowns. It's our culture: we would like to win trophies all the time. We are getting there slowly, but every year we must lift trophies," Mosimane told KickOff.

"It's not easy. We had a drought of seven years without winning trophies. It's a culture in this club, we want to lift trophies every year, and one will lead to two and two lead to three. It's a building process."

No! I think the smart thing to do is start again with a younger skipper ...

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
