Pitso to help new Bafana coach

Johannesburg - Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane says he will do everything in his power to help new Bafana Bafana boss Shakes Mashaba when it comes to making players available, reports the Football411 website.

Having previously been a coach of the South African national team, Mosimane knows all too well the headaches that come with the role, and he is determined to help Mashaba ease into the position.

"No team in South Africa can match Sundowns in terms of supporting SAFA," Mosimane said.

"I will never let Shakes down, I was in his situation. Sundowns will never let Bafana Bafana down.

"I've already SMSed Shakes. I told him if he wants six players, I will give him six players. I will never let Bra Shakes down."

When asked about his own side's prospects ahead of their PSL title defence, Mosimane said: "I think our team is good enough to win the Premiership again.

"The Premiership is a marathon. You have to train for a long time to run the Comrades Marathon. Mentally we are ready."
