Pitso lauds Sundowns 'legends'

Cape Town - Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane has lauded "all the legends" who work at the club after they secured the Premier Soccer League (PSL) title.

'Downs wrapped up their first PSL title in seven years with a 3-0 win over Tshwane rivals, SuperSport United, at Loftus Versfeld in Pretoria on Tuesday evening.

"I would like to thank everyone from the kit manager to all the legends who work at Sundowns," Mosimane told the Soccer-Laduma website.

"I would like to thank the board of Sundowns. Patrice Motsepe for giving me this chance.

"Even after we drew twice, Motsepe told me not to worry, It was unbelievable to see the fans tonight. Thanks to kit man and all staff.

"Unbelievable the people around me. Look, it has been difficult but I said we'll win it. We deserve all the credit."

Mosimane also became the first black South African coach to win the league title since the formation of the PSL in 1996.

The trophy will be handed over to the Brazilians at the Harry Gwala stadium on Saturday, following their final league clash with Maritzburg United.
