Pitso urges Zwane to score goals

Pretoria - Following their Telkom Knock-Out win over Chippa United at the weekend, Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane has praised star winger Themba Zwane for his positive impacts on the night.

The Brazilians booked a place in the quarter-finals of the Ziwa Mo competition with a 2-0 emphatic win over the Chilli Boys at the Lucas Moripe Stadium on Saturday.

The inform Keagan Dolly and Hlompho Kekana were on target for Mosimane’s charges respectively.

The Kagiso born tactician has admitted that he can now see the positives out of his players after they managed to register three consecutive victories despite feeling the supporters’ pressure.

However, Jingles as Mosimane is affectionately known, was chuffed with Zwane‘s performance and urged the former Mpumalanga Black Aces winger to start scoring goals for the Brazilians just like his team-mate Dolly.

“Now we can see the positive side out of our team,” admitted Mosimane.

“The goals are coming; we have scored two goals on Saturday without conceding.

“That’s so encouraging for us and I am happy for Themba Zwane because he is playing very well.

“I’m also giving him a hard time at training; I said he must start scoring goals for us.

“Yes he is a winger but he must score, Keagan (Dolly) is busy scoring goals for us as a winger, so he (Zwane) and Khama (Billiat) must also score goals.

“We are still waiting patiently for our strikers to start scoring as well, I hope that happens soon.

“Otherwise we have to keep our feet on the ground and it’s also good to hear our supporters singing again.”

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
