Pitso: We took our chances

Johannesburg - Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane says that he was happy with the goals but not the performance in their 5-2 win over Black Leopards on Tuesday.

According to the Soccer-Laduma website, the Brazilians were largely on top in a thrilling encounter against struggling Lidoda Duvha as they bagged five goals in a game for the first time this term.

Mosimane feels that his side deserved the result, but believes that they could have performed better overall and prevented their opponents from scoring.

"I am happy with the result. I have always said it, there is no team that creates as many chances as this team. Today we took many chances, we scored five goals," he said.

"But I must be honest, I was not happy with the play. Against Free State Stars it was much better. We got carried away a little bit, and we allowed them to score two goals.

"But what else do you want when you score five goals? It's good, we are happy we got the five goals. We deserved it, we played well."

When quizzed about possibly changing the squad slightly in the off-season, he added, "This team is the team I inherited. I will get a few players to strengthen the team."

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
