Pitso drops 'F-bomb', 'Downs go on to win

Cape Town - Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane gave his players the hairdryer treatment at half-time which spurred them on to a 4-2 victory against fellow title contenders Wits on Saturday.

A brace from Cuthbert Malajila, and a goal each from Khama Billiat and Teko Modise secured the heavyweight clash for the Brazilians.

It was a tight affair at the Lucas Moripe Stadium, with Daine Klate scoring a brace for Wits to keep his side in the contest.

So hyped up was Mosimane, though, that the hard taskmaster dropped the F-bomb on live TV during the post-match interview.

"Wits are a team that are title contenders and it's no surprise they are in the MTN8 semi-finals," Mosimane said after the match.

"I told my team 'if you want to win the championship, you must start winning games like this'.

"These are not nice games; these are games when your body gets bashed up. I told them at half-time 'If you want to cry, I will hand my tissues to you, or go and f***ing grind it'. Go grind it and win the game.

"It's all about winning the game. We could not match them on the game they played; we don't have the bodies for that. Khama is small, Keagan Dolly is small, but we have speed.

"So we used speed and that helped us win the game."
